Shaina Magdayao Reunites with Jake Cuenca in Upcoming Teleserye

Shaina Magdayao will be paired once again with Jake Cuenca in the upcoming afternoon teleserye with the working title “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.”

Shaina Magdayao and Jake Cuenca have worked together in the past, the first was in “Your Song: A Million Miles Away,” the fantaserye “Dragonna” and then the primetime teleserye “Rubi.” So “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” (formerly “Doha”) will serve as their reunion project.

The story of the teleserye revolves around the lives of Overseas Contract Workers (OCW) working in Doha, Qatar.

“Honored ako na ako ’yung napili na gumanap nga bilang isang OFW kasi ako mismo meron tayong mga relatives na nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.” Shaina said.

“Aside from ’yung love story namin, doon din talaga umiikot ’yung story kasi pamilya namin, galing kami sa pamilya ng OFWs. Kami rin magkakaroon ng opportunity na makapunta sa ibang bansa at magtrabaho doon. ’Yung flashback magsu-shoot sa Abu Dhabi and sa Dubai, ’tapos sa Doha.” she added.

Shaina Magdayao is Still Unable to Walk Following the ‘ASAP’ Injury

Shaina Magdayao might not be able to appear on ASAP 2012 tomorrow, March 4, because she is still recovering from an ankle injury she sustained from an accident during her production number on the musical variety show last Sunday.

According to John Lloyd Cruz, Magdayao’s boyfriend, the young actress is still unable to walk.

“‘Yung ankle niya namaga, hanggang ngayon maga siya. Hindi naman siya na-confine sa hospital. Naka-bandage lang at pinapahinga lang niya. Actually, hindi pa siya makalakad,” Cruz told Push.ph.

Magdayao has no current projects with ABS-CBN for the mean time except for ASAP 2012. The young actress, however, is slated to star in an upcoming teleserye with the working title “Doha: Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” opposite Jake Cuenca.

Ruffa Gutierrez on Shaina Magdayao: ‘Please Don’t Test My Patience’

Ruffa Gutierrez has been rumored to be the third party that rocks John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao’s relationship. This is pertaining to Shaina’s claims that Ruffa is texting her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz in the former beauty queen’s attempt to win him back.

Ruffa denied Shaina’s accusation saying that she wasn’t the one who first started texting John Lloyd reacting to the former’s claim in an interview by the ABS-CBN primetime newscast “Bandila” Thursday night.

Gutierrez said she has gotten past her relationship with Cruz and wished the couple well.

Ruffa (@iloveruffag) tweeted earlier today:

“To clear the issue: I never started any texting conversation. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. That chapter in my life has long been over. I’m very happy with my life and my girls now. I sincerely wish both of them well.”

And prior to this message, Ruffa also posted the following hard-hitting messages which (everyone believes) pertain to Shaina Magdayao:

“Please don’t test my patience. And don’t lie.”

“I warned you not to test my patience and I warned you not to lie. You just did.”

Shaina Magdayao, John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez crossed paths during the birthday celebration of Bea Alonzo and the birthday concert of Vina Morales earlier this month.

Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz Call It Quits Because of Ruffa

Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz have reportedly broken up according to reports the circulated in various social networking sites and blogs on Monday.

Amidst break-up rumors, John Lloyd Cruz, in an interview with the primetime newscast Bandila, admitted that his relationship with girlfriend Shaina Magdayao is currently what you may not call “smooth sailing.” The award-winning actor, however, denied that there’s a third party involved and he did not say any comment to the question if they broke up already or not.

PEP, however, reported on Monday that according to an unnamed reliable source, Shaina and John Lloyd have indeed broken up. It was allegedly ignited after Cruz’ communication with former girlfriend Ruffa Gutierrez resumed.

John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa were able to meet again during Bea Alonzo’s birthday celebration last October 8. Then it happened again last October 17 during Vina Morales’ birthday. Shaina was also present on both occasions.

According to reports, Shaina discovered that his boyfriend is once again exchanging text messages with Ruffa. This prompted the young actress to text Ruffa saying ”please leave us alone.”

Ruffa confirmed on Paparazzi last Sunday that she’s been receiving text messages from John Lloyd and even revealed that Shaina even used John Lloyd’s cellphone.

Shaina’s jealousy reportedly ignited a fight between the couple which eventually resulted to a break-up.
