Pinkberry Co-Owner Young Lee Arrested for Beating a Homeless Man

Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt co-founder, Young Lee, was arrested at the Los Angeles airport on Tuesday for warrant of assaulting a homeless beggar.
Lee, the co-owner of the Pinkberry low-calorie dessert chain, reportedly attacked the beggar with a tire iron last June 15, 2011, after the man flashed a provocative tattoo at him according to authorities. There was another individual who helped Lee in chasing the homeless man who suffered days of hospital treatment because of the sustained wounds from the attack.
Certain witnesses were able to get the license plate of the vehicle Lee and company were riding. It was a Range Rover which was rented in the name of the Pinkberry co-founder.
On Monday, Lee was aboard an inbound flight from Korea to Los Angeles Airport where the LA Police Department waited for his arrest. The Pinkberry co-founder is currently under police custody.
Young Lee, a native of Korea, was a former kick boxer who became an architect. He founded Pinkberry in 2005 with Hyekyung “Shelly” Hwang, also of Korea, in Los Angeles. Pinkberry now have hundreds of branches around the world.
