Julia Montes is ABS-CBN’s ‘Girl of the Hour’

Julia Montes takes a more mature role in the upcoming primetime series on ABS-CBN, “Walang Hanggan.”

17-year-old Julia Montes is now doing a more mature and serious role in the upcoming teleserye “Walang Hanggan” in which she is being paired with 30-year-old Coco Martin.

In an interview by PEP, Julia said she and Coco have no problem with the age gap issue.

“Okay lang sa ‘min. Actually, napag-usapan namin kasi mero’n nga kaming ipapakita rito sa Walang Hanggan,” Julia said.

“Kumbaga, hindi nila maiisip yung age gap. Kasi du’n sa story pa lang, talagang mai-in love ka na,” she added.

Julia also revealed something about their reported kissing scene in the primetime series.

“Hindi naman siya kiss talaga, e. About to kiss, pero hindi kiss. Goody-good ako dito at in love, in love nang sobra-sobra,” she said.

Julia Montes Paired with Coco Martin in ‘Walang Hanggan’

Julia Montes is the new leading lady of Coco Martin in the upcoming teleserye on ABS-CBN, “Walang Hanggan.”

If her Mara Clara co-star Kathryn Bernardo has an upcoming “kilig” series set for 2012, Julia Montes is going back to drama and she will tackle a more mature role.

In an interview by Push.ph, the 16-year-old actress said her transition from teeny bopper to a more serious role will be gradual.

“Hindi naman siya yung agad-agad ako mag-ma-mature dito. May transition din naman so hindi naman ganun talaga. Nakaka-pressure din (laughs). Siyempre iba na yung role ko ngayon, medyo about love na ito. More on love. Hindi na tulad noon na more on family tapos konting love love, ganun. So medyo serious role na ito,” she said.

Although Julia and Coco have a 10-year-gap, the former Mara Clara star is not bothered because she has worked with the award-winning actor before.

Julia is also ready for the possibility of getting linked with Coco because of their onscreen tandem. But since she’s still very young, she can’t say the same about a possible kissing scene in the teleserye.

“Hindi pa ako ready sa age ko. Kung kakailanganin, let’s see. Hindi ako makakapag-decide din kasi agad. Titingnan ko muna lahat nung anggulo kung mapapabuti ba ako dun or ano. Depende rin, depende,” she explained.
