APEC Summit is expected to strengthen the ties of member countries in the Asia Pacific.
Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III on Tuesday emphasized the importance of unifying APEC member countries in the Asia-Pacific to prevent the financial crisis now affecting the United States and Europe from spreading to the region.
P-Noy stated this in his speech upon arriving from the 19th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He said it is important that economies in the Asia-Pacific region be united in curbing the economic financial crisis.
