RuPaul’s Drag Race season 3 runner-up Manila Luzon has released his debut single “Hot Couture” with an accompanying music video.
Manila Luzon’s real name is Karl Westerberg and he is a Filipino American drag queen in Minnesota who placed 2nd in RuPaul’s Drag Race season 3. His drag name is a play on words of the capital city (Manila) and the largest island (Luzon) of the Philippines, where his mother was born. His father is American of German/Swedish ancestry.

Solenn Heussaff is Ogie Alcasid’s Leading Lady in ‘Boy Pick Up’ Movie

Solenn Heussaff is starring opposite Ogie Alcasid in the upcoming comedy movie from GMA Films “Boy Pick Up,” a character popularized by the latter on the weekly gag show “Bubble Gang.”
The original leading lady of Ogie Alcasid in the “Boy Pick Up” segment in Bubble Gang is Sam Pinto that’s why some people wondered why the role in the movie spin-off went to Solenn.
In an interview by PEP, Solenn herself was baffled why she got the role.
“Oo nga. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyari. But I love you, Sam, I didn’t take your place!” she said.
The camera for “Boy Pick Up” will start rolling this February as the movie is scheduled to be released on April.

14-pound Baby: Mother from Iowa Births 14-pound Baby Without C-Section

14-pound baby named Asher was born naturally on Thursday, January 26, 2012, in Des Moines, Iowa as reported by KSBWTV.
Kendall Stewardson gave birth to her 14-pound baby, the biggest baby born naturally in California, without the help of surgery and epidural injection. She went through 6 hours of labor to avoid C section.
Asher measures 23 inches long and weighs about 13 pounds and 13 ounces.
According to statistics, only a tenth of 1 percent of all newborns or 1 in every 1,000 weigh more than 11 pounds at birth making Asher’s birth a rare incident.
His older brother, Judah, who is now 15 months old weighed a little more than 12 pounds at birth.

Novak Djokovic of Serbia was able to beat the more popular Rafael Nadal of Spain during the men’s singles final match of the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne today, January 30, 2012.
Ranked world’s No. 1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) since July 4 of last year, Djokovic said his match against Nadal was far better than his Wimbledon victory last year.
“This one I think comes out on the top just because of the fact that we played almost six hours is incredible, incredible,” he said.
The 24-year-old Djokovic becomes the fifth player in open history to win three straight grand slam titles in a calendar year. He is also the first male player representing Serbia to win a Major singles title and the youngest player in the open era to have reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events, separately and consecutively. Amongst other titles, he won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008 and was also on the team which won the 2010 Davis Cup.
