New 7 Wonders of Nature Poll Update – Demographic Trends for Palawan Underground River

The New 7 Wonders of Nature website has released a demographic voting trends 68 days before the conclusion of the global poll.

Last week, the New 7 Wonders of Nature website is showing national and international voting trends where our very own Palawan Underground River is running at no. 3 slot in both categories.

Now the site has released a demographic voting trends with four categories: Male, Female, Child and Adult.

Among Male voters, the Palawan Underground River currently ranks at no. 26 or 3rd to the last. The most popular among male voters worldwide is the Uluru in Australia.

Among Female voters, on the other hand, the Palawan Underground River ranks 2nd to Halong Bay in Vietnam. So it means more women are voting for our national treasure than men.

Among Children voters (17 years old and below), the Palawan Underground River ranks 3rd while among Adult voters, the Philippine entry ranks 26th.

So for all men out there, please vote for the Palawan Underground River!

The site does not reveal the actual number of votes each of the 28 finalists have received but based from the demographic voting trends, we can see that our Palawan Underground River is getting the votes from young female respondents around the world while it’s not popular among adult males.

No less than our President Benigno Aquino III appeals to Filipinos worldwide to vote for the Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan in the “New Seven Wonders of Nature” poll.

Located in what is considered “the last frontier”, the Puerto Princesa Underground River is the country’s lone contender in the global poll now being contested by 27 other official finalists from an initial list of 400 locations worldwide.

“Some 80 million Filipinos have cellular phones and some two billion text messages are sent every day. We only need a billion votes – that is just half a day of texting for all Filipinos who have cellular phones,” the President said.
